Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, arrested for allegedly opening fire at Rihanna’s Los Angeles mansion on March 8, entered a not guilty plea to attempted murder charges in Los Angeles Superior Court on March 25.
The 35-year-old has also denied more than a dozen additional felony charges through her attorney. Ortiz allegedly fired over 10 rounds from a semiautomatic weapon at the residence shared by Rihanna and A$AP Rocky with their three children while the family was present.
However, no injuries were reported, as prosecutors clarified the family was inside a trailer located on the property during the incident.
Ortiz now faces one count of felony attempted murder, alongside 10 felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and three felony counts of firing at an occupied dwelling.
Her bail was set at $1,875,000, and she could face a life sentence in state prison if convicted when the case proceeds to trial. Deputy district attorney Alexander Bott underlined the severity of the situation, stating that such actions could have resulted in multiple fatalities.
The suspect fled the scene but was apprehended shortly after by Los Angeles police in a Tesla. Authorities recovered a wig, a semiautomatic rifle, and seven spent shell casings linked to the shooting.
Ortiz has a history of legal troubles in Florida, including her arrest in a 2013 bankruptcy case, a 2021 careless driving charge, and a 2023 domestic violence and battery arrest.
