Sauce Walka was injured and another person was killed in a shooting in Downtown Memphis on Saturday (March 22).

According to FOX 13 Memphis, the Houston rapper was shot in broad daylight, suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.

The shooting occurred around 2:42 pm outside of a hotel near Lt. George W. Lee Avenue and Second Street in the downtown area.

A friend who was with Walka at the time – his artist and fellow rapper Sayso P. – was also shot and died of his injuries.

Police confirmed at a press conference that the shooting appeared to be “targeted.”

After he survived the shooting and received hospital treatment, a video surfaced on social media showing Sauce Walka in good spirits.

Police have yet to identify a suspect or make any arrests.
