A second person has been charged in the shooting death of popular rapper MO3, whose real name was Melvin Noble, on Interstate-35E about five months ago on November 11, 2020.
The Dallas native was shot and killed in broad daylight on a freeway in his hometown. Around three weeks after his passing, a grand jury charged Kewon Dontell White in connection with the heinous act.
Now, a Dallas County grand jury indicted another man named Devin Maurice Brown, 28, in connection to the death of the Boosie Badazz affiliate.
Prosecutors say that Devin Maurice Brown was the armed person in a ski mask that walked up to rapper Mo3 during the incident. According to the Dallas Morning News, Maurice Brown is facing federal murder charges for his role in the fatal shooting.
The two suspects, whom authorities described as “affiliates,” remain in custody.
As Yo! Raps reported, Mo3 was driving on I-35 in Dallas on November 11 when he stopped between Illinois Avenue and Clarendon Drive. A masked black male suspect driving possibly a 2014- 2015 Chevy Camaro, black in color, exited his vehicle and shot him.
Witnesses say Mo3 tried to flee on foot, but was shot multiple times in broad daylight. A bystander was also wounded as he sat in his car during the incident. He was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
