Nigeria-born, Virginia-raised country singer Shaboozey has the #1 song in the country now.

Shaboozey is making waves for his single “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” all year long and the most recent stat proves it. The blockbuster single, which cleverly flips J-Kwon’s signature song (itself a #2 smash in 2004), hit #1 on the Hot 100 chart this week in the United States, while also simultaneously topping the Hot Country Songs list.

Released April 12 on American Dogwood/EMPIRE, the song debuted at #6 on the Hot Country Songs chart and #36 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 10.7 million streams and 10,000 sold through April 18, according to Luminate. It also launches at #1 on Digital Song Sales and Country Digital Song Sales charts.

The song is the lead single from the Virginia native’s album entitled “Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going.”
