Controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has made his return to the Rap game with the release of âGOOBAâ on Friday (May 8).
The music video for the single received over 43 million views in less than 24 hours and his Instagram Live session broke a record with its roughly 1.9 million viewers. âGOOBAâ has broken YouTubeâs record for the most-watched Hip-Hop video in a 24-hour span. The previous record was held by Eminem for his Machine Gun Kelly diss song âKillshotâ in 2018, which amassed 38.1 million views in its first 24 hours of being on the platform.
But it seems like that not everyone is feeling Tekashiâs grand re-entrance, especially Snoop Dogg and Meek Mill.
Veteran Hip-Hop journalist Elliott Wilson shared the cover artwork for âGOOBAâ on his Instagram account and Snoop and Meek were quick to respond in the comment section.
Durkio dropped today and he the streets cmon Elliot? Post Durk shit itâs [fire] no post from Durk on a hip hop page but this???? You the og Elliot.
Meek Mill

Snoop Dogg
During 6ix9ineâs record-breaking Instagram Live session, he apologized for âsnitchingâ but also made it clear that he simply did what he had to do. He also addressed other artists who are bashing him, insisting they are only dissing him because of his success.
Before I got locked up, it was all, âFuck that rainbow-haired kid âŠyâall didnât really have a reason to not like me. âHeâs mad, loudâ â that was your reason. Of course, the go-to is now I snitched. I canât blame you. Iâm sorry to my fans because they donât deserve that. My family, my mother ⊠donât deserve it. Iâm sorry, but youâre not going to break me down like I did something wrong.

If a rat came home and did more numbers than me, I would be mad too. I would. I promise you I would be mad. You have every reason to be mad. No matter how much dirt you throw on my name and I seen everything â everyone want to be quiet now. For two years, yâall made fun of me ⊠I still came home and Iâm a legend at the age of 24 years old because I came home and rat is doing more numbers than you.
