T-Pain has publicly expressed disappointment with DJ Khaled, citing alleged disloyalty and adding to the strained relationship between the two former collaborators.

During his appearance on the latest episode of Club Shay Shay, T-Pain shared insights from his two-decade-long journey in the music industry. When Shannon Sharpe asked about the lessons he’s learned throughout his career, T-Pain didn’t mince words.

“Nobody is your brother. Nobody,” he vented. “Everybody’s your brother while they can use you. That is the quickest and most consistent thing that I’ve learned through this whole thing.”

He then directed his comments toward DJ Khaled, specifically noting: “Like, DJ Khaled knows how to move, he knows how to do things with different people. But it’s not [just] a DJ Khaled thing — that’s just the first person I can think of.”

T-Pain went on to reflect on the countless artists he’s supported over the years, remarking, “I’ve helped so many people in their careers. They’d say, ‘Thank you so much—you’re like family,’ but nothing was ever reciprocated. None of it truly mattered in the end.”

He advised listeners to approach relationships in the industry with caution, adding: “You gotta think about how many people I’ve helped throughout their career. Everybody is like, ‘Oh my God, thank you so much. You’re my brother’ … And then none of that shit was reciprocated. None of that shit meant anything.”

Back in the mid-2000s and early 2010s, T-Pain and DJ Khaled collaborated on several major hits, including “All I Do Is Win,” “I’m So Hood,” and “Go Hard.”

However, their professional dynamic reportedly began to deteriorate in 2013 when T-Pain felt sidelined by Khaled’s apparent preference for another Auto-Tune sensation, Future.
