Tech N9ne looks back and leaps forward with his nostalgic new single and music video “RDV” via Strange Music.

The song’s slick keyboard loop and bouncy throwback beat nod to classic Hip-Hop as the emcee lyrically strolls down memory lane.

A powerful chant, “We came to fight,” sets the tone for the track. Tech recalls his childhood in the Kansas City neighborhood he grew up in as he proclaims, “I didn’t know back then I’d be affiliated with the motherfucking dogs.”

However, “RDV” climaxes with his signature staccato flow bearing down on a classic machine gun sample as he rattles off the names of his friends.

Fittingly, it culminates with a personal declaration, “Aaron Yates, Tech N9ne, I’m a motherfucking ‘Rogue Dog Villain’!”

In the visual, Tech performs surrounded by many of those neighborhood cohorts. He’s all smiles as he charismatically raps to the camera, embodying the single’s spirit in the process.

“RDV” only hints at a whole lot more on the horizon from Tech this year.
