Tekashi 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, has spoken out following his arrest in the Dominican Republic earlier this month, telling his fans that he’s in good spirits despite the legal ordeal.

The controversial Brooklyn rapper was arrested last Friday (October 13) for allegedly assaulting two men over an incident involving his girlfriend.

“Thank you for your support, I love you very much. I feel so happy seeing you in full support. The same day I get out of jail, I want to give them a little gift for the neighborhood of Vega.”

He continued, “I’m going to give you a free concert in Vega with Romo and everything [will be] for free. Thank you for your support. I’ll give it back. I love you.”

6ix9ine is accused of running up on two producers over an incident involving his girlfriend. Surveillance footage was released of the NY rapper and two other men running into a building and fleeing the scene moments later.

The alleged altercation itself wasn’t captured on camera, but police issued a warrant for the rapper’s arrest for “blows and injuries, and threats.”

Police did not release the suspected motive for the alleged attack, but Diamond La Mafia said Hernandez had been “jealous” of him and Yailin. Dominican Republic police also had an arrest warrant for a second person whose identity was not disclosed, the report said.
