The Weeknd and Playboi Carti‘s collaborative effort, “Timeless,” is debuting at #3 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100.
The blockbuster track, which is set to join The Weeknd’s upcoming album entitled “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” opens with 28.6 million streams, 5.1 million in airplay audience and 6,000 units sold in its first week.
In addition to debuting at #3 on the Hot 100, “Timeless” also hit #1 on the Streaming Songs, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot R&B Songs charts. “Timeless” gives The Weeknd his highest career bow and his 19th top 10 entry, while this marks Carti’s fifth top 10 on the Hot 100, his second chart-topper on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and his first on Hot R&B Songs.
Last month, the superstar duo has dropped the official music video for the song, directed by Gunner Stahl. The visual gives fans a glimpse of what is to come for the Canadian crooner’s upcoming sixth studio album.
The Weeknd’s upcoming album is billed as the culmination of his album trilogy that encompasses “After Hours” and “Dawn FM.” A release date for the LP is yet to be announced.
