Travis Scott has set a new Spotify record as his brand new album, “UTOPIA,” officially became the streaming service’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2023.

The news was confirmed by Spotify and although they did not reveal the exact streaming numbers, they did reveal that Scott broke the record on July 28 on the day of the project’s release and that all 19 tracks have claimed the first 19 spots on Spotify’s Top 20 U.S. chart, with “MELTDOWN” debuting at #1.

“UTOPIA” earned roundabout 128.5 million Spotify streams on the first day. The second on the list is Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape with 53.4 million opening day streams.

It also fared spectacularly on Apple Music, amassing nineteen of the Top 22 spots on US Apple Music (including the entire Top 11) and nineteen of the Top 21 slots on Global Apple Music (including the entire Top 13).

This is also the third overall biggest-ever opening day stream for a rap album on Spotify. The first two spots held by Drake with his albums “Certified Lover Boy” and “Scorpion”. The fourth on the list is Kendrick Lamar with his last year’s comeback album “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers”.

“UTOPIA” marks Scott’s fourth studio effort and his first full-length release in five years. The project features contributions from the likes of BeyoncĂ©, Playboi Carti, James Blake, Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and more.
