Ugly God – born Royce Cornell Davison-Rodriguez – hopped on Twitter and broke his silence since being accused of killing his best friend’s dad. The Indiana rapper addressed reports that he has been accused and charged with murder.
On Friday (August 18), the former XXL Freshman posted multiple pictures of himself holding stacks of cash in his kitchen.
He captioned the photos series, “a lot can happen in a year,” along with the hashtag “#dontbelievethehype.”

It’s unclear if the tweet was in reference to the accusations that he murdered his best friend’s dad.
Ugly God has been accused of murdering his best friend’s father in Mississippi back in June, and the man’s family is convinced he committed the crime.
According to authorities, the shooting took place just before midday in the 1000 block of Debra Drive, Mississippi. Officers on the scene discovered 50-year-old Renaldo Delavallade dead from multiple gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.
“We were in the area, pretty close,” Police Chief Adam Cooper told WLOX. “We were able to respond within minutes of the call. I just wish we would’ve been here a little sooner.”
Ugly God’s name was thrown into the mix after a relative of Delavallade posted several TikTok videos accusing the rapper of being the shooter.
