Yella Beezy has been arrested and charged with capital murder in the shooting death of Mo3 on a busy interstate in 2020.
A Dallas County grand jury returned the indictment last week, accusing Yella Beezy – whose real name is Markies Conway – of orchestrating the killing “while remuneration was involved.”
That charge implies he allegedly hired someone to carry out the shooting.
The indictment accuses Beezy of hiring a man named Kewon White to murder fellow rapper Mo3.
In a Facebook post after Conway’s arrest, Noble’s mother, Nichole Williams Noble, wrote: “Justice for my baby!!!!”
Mo3 was gunned down in broad daylight on November 11, 2020, on Interstate 35E near Marsalis Avenue. Police said he was pursued on foot by a gunman after trying to flee from his vehicle after Kewon White drove up next to him and got out of his car with a gun in his hand.
Noble and a bystander who was inside a car were shot by White, police said. The bystander survived but Noble died at a hospital.
The shooting was captured on traffic cameras and widely circulated.
Yella Beezy’s arrest marks a major development in a case that stunned fans and the Dallas music scene. Beezy rose to national fame with his 2017 hit “That’s On Me,” which charted on the Billboard Hot 100. He also scored a 2019 hit song “Bacc At It Again” with Quavo and Gucci Mane.
