Young Buck has launched a diss track targeting Fat Joe after the latter claimed his crew assaulted the Tennessee rapper years ago.
Before the release, Buck hinted at his retaliation on Instagram and later dropped a full diss track titled “Cappuccino” using the beat of G Herbo’s “Went Legit.”
In the two-minute diss, Buck took aim at Joe and Jadakiss, criticizing them for transitioning into podcasting. Early in the song, he rapped about rappers making staged antics on podcasts to stay relevant.
“These rappers need to stop teaming up on these podcasts and making these lil skits,” rapped Buck.
Buck also dismissed Joe’s claims of an altercation, stating no one had laid hands on him. He added a jab at Joe’s appearance, mockingly referencing weight-loss medications.
“No hands was put on anybody, even though I attempted/I don’t know if this is you Fat Joe, or the Ozempic.”
Fat Joe had previously relayed the alleged incident, recounting how tensions escalated after a music festival performance in Chicago. According to Joe, during the peak of his feud with Young Buck’s then-aligned group G-Unit, he confronted Buck with a thrown water bottle and a challenge. He further claimed that Buck was physically confronted soon after.
“I never told nobody this story before,” began Joe, before claiming he “caught Young Buck” after a festival performance in Chicago years ago, later specifying this was “at the height of the beef” between him and Buck’s then-crew G-Unit.
Following this revelation, Buck responded humorously with an AI-generated video on Instagram as though Joe’s story was exaggerated and unfamiliar.
Captioning it with “BREAKING NEWS JUST DROPPED,” he sarcastically referenced himself recovering only now from Joe’s supposed attack and joked about needing decades more to fully recover.
The back-and-forth between the two artists continues as Buck keeps up his ridicule of Joe in the wake of these resurfaced allegations.
