Young Thug has postponed the release of his highly anticipated album, “UY Scuti”, requiring fans to hold their excitement a bit longer.
The 34-year-old rapper originally planned to drop the record this Friday (September 19), but has shifted the release date.
Teasing a studio snippet on Instagram, Thugger unveiled a track believed to be titled “Dope,” alongside producer Southside. Accompanying the post, he wrote “Next Friday,” hinting at a delay.
With many eagerly awaiting updates, it’s now confirmed that the album will be released on September 26. This follows months of buildup since its initial May tease, marked by promotional billboards that appeared nationwide.
The past weeks have been eventful for Young Thug, including leaked jail recordings and an in-depth interview with Big Bank addressing his strained relationship with Gunna amidst the YSL RICO case fallout.
Recently, Thug addressed various individuals he spoke about during jail calls on his heartfelt track “Man I Miss My Dogs.” In the seven-minute song, he extended apologies to Future, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Gucci Mane, and others for critical remarks he made during that tumultuous period.
“UY Scuti” arrives as a follow-up to Thug’s 2023 project “Business Is Business”, which was crafted under challenging circumstances as Thug led YSL while facing RICO allegations.
Metro Boomin played a key role in assembling the album, which featured heavy-hitters like Drake, Future, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Nate Ruess, and others.
