Young Thug has proposed to Mariah the Scientist during a memorable concert in Atlanta, seemingly making her long-held wish come true.
Video footage from the event shows the rapper getting down on one knee, presenting an engagement ring while a backdrop displayed the words “Will You Marry Me.”
The heartfelt moment took place during Young Thug’s “Hometown Hero: Young Thug & Friends – A Benefit Concert” at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
Back in December, Mariah the Scientist openly discussed her desire for marriage during an interview with Angie Martinez. The 28-year-old singer, who has been in a relationship with Young Thug since 2021, expressed her intent to settle down, calling marriage a key focus and personal goal. She also shared her wish to have at least one child, noting she would “start with that and see how I can manage.”
Mariah remained a loyal support system for Young Thug during his lengthy RICO trial, which led to his incarceration from May 2022 until October 2024. Meanwhile, during a conversation with Adin, the rapper himself reflected on what kept him strong throughout his time in prison.
