Young Thug and YSL Records unexpectedly released the double album “Slime Language 3” late on Friday (August 28).
The 41-track project not only showcases the talents of the YSL lineup but also features artists like Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Future, Yeat, Trippie Redd, Cash Cobain, Veeze, and Rob49 among others.
Across the two-plus-hour album, listeners will find contributions from both seasoned and emerging YSL members such as Lil Keed, diamond*, Tezzus, Pz’, Sk8star, 1300SAINT, Yung Kayo, Biggs, iyrus, Yume, Lil Unky, and Unfoonk.
“Slime Language” Series Became A Fan Favorite
This release marks the third installment in a series of YSL compilation albums, which began with Slime Language in 2018 and continued with “Slime Language 2” in 2021. The series has grown in popularity, with the first album reaching #8 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and its successor topping not only that chart but also the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
“Slime Language 2” produced major hits like “Solid” featuring Drake and “Ski,” both reaching the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. However, Gunna, who had featured prominently on those tracks, is absent from this new release after completing his contractual obligations with YSL with his 2025 album “The Last Wun”. This absence follows a fallout involving RICO charges that troubled the label.
In October 2024, Young Thug received a sentence of 15 years’ probation without prison time after pleading guilty to charges related to leading an Atlanta street gang. He made his musical return with the album “UY Scuti” in September 2025.
