About Us

Yo! Raps is an award-winning global urban online magazine launched in 2006 and has quickly emerged as one of the premier urban music websites on the web. Our primary purpose is to provide information about Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B and Soul combined with multiple daily updates to the young urban demographic at its website. Get your daily dose of music!

The 2022 Yo! Awards nominations have arrived with Lil Durk leading the pack with 6 nods in categories such as “Best Hip-Hop Album” and “Best Hip-Hop Artist”. Kendrick Lamar on the other hand, reeled in 5 nods for his work. Other notable earners include YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Gunna, Jack Harlow, Cardi B, Freddie Gibbs, and GloRilla. Overall, there was a lot to look back on when it came to Hip-Hop in 2022.

Yo! Raps staff joins in our Yo! Awards discussions and debates to come up with a list for our year end awards. Our nominees have been rolled out so make sure to cast your vote starting on Monday (November 28). The polls will be open until December 20, 2022.
