Boosie Badazz was speechless after his associate, Dallas rapper Mo3, was shot and killed on a Texas highway Wednesday (Nov. 11). The grieving rapper took to his social media accounts to honor Mo3, whose birth name was Melvin Noble.

Now, Boosie sat down with DJ Vlad to open up about the incident and the aftermath of Mo3’s murder.

Mo3 never discussed no beef with me. We never discussed no rap beef. Never discussed another n*gga rap beef, ever. No n*gga I’ve never been around discussed another n*gga rap beef. Even though I know n*ggas gettin’ it on cause these rappers got smoke everywhere. That’s just how it go. They caught my boy slippin.’ I was just glad I got to experience the Mo3 legacy and be a part of his legacy.

After hearing of his friend’s killing, Boosie headed down to Dallas and was shot in the leg by people who thought he was in their city to retaliate. The Baton Rouge rapper had to have surgery to save his leg and he reportedly came close to having it amputated.

The fatal shooting of Mo3 occurred around midday. According to reports, the Dallas native was driving on I35 highway in his hometown when the shooter pulled up next to him. Both men stopped their vehicles, Mo3 hopped out the car and began running on the highway as the shooter opened fire. Mo3 was shot multiple times, and was rushed to local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Another bystander in the car was shot as well but suffered non-life threatening injuries.
