Future has sold the publishing rights to his recorded output from 2004 – 2020 to the investment firm Influence Media Partners, and is walking away with a massive eight-figure payday.
The catalog contains 612 titles, including collaborations with Drake (“Life Is Good”, “Jumpman”), Kendrick Lamar (“King’s Dead”), Rihanna (“Selfish”), and The Weeknd (“Mask Off”).
Influence Media Partners said in a statement it is “honored” to be partnering with King Pluto. A source informed Variety the final deal was in the “high eight figures.”
“I put everything into my music, and I wanted to make sure these were in good hands as I thought about the next chapter of these songs,” Future said in a statement. “I’m proud to partner up with Rene and the team at Influence Media and send a signal that this music has timeless value. My music is my art, and these songs represent some of the most precious artwork of my career.”
