Although rapper Juice Wrld – whose real name is Jarad A. Higgins – died in December 2019 at the age of 21 after having a seizure, his first posthumous single has arrived as promised. Titled “Righteous,” the song was recorded at the late rapper’s Los Angeles studio prior to his death.

Juice has released two studio albums during his short-lived career, , including 2018’s “Goodbye & Good Riddance” and 2019’s “Death Race For Love.” According to reports, the Chicago born rapper passed away with over 2,000 songs in his arsenal.

Juice WRLD was best-known for his viral 2018 hit “Lucid Dreams” and often talked about mental health, dying and drugs in his music.

His family made an official statement on Thursday (April 23).

Juice was a prolific artist who dedicated his life to making music. Choosing how to share his upcoming music with the world has been no easy feat. Honoring the love Juice felt for his fans while shining a light on his talents and his spirit are the most important parts of this process to us.

Juice WRLD suffered a seizure during a police search of his private jet when it landed in at Chicago airport and later died in hospital.
