Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy has released an official music video for “Common Person.” The fan favorite track comes from Burna’s acclaimed sixth studio album, “Love, Damini.”
Burna Boy adopts the role of a regular individual in the music video in an effort to present the stories from the perspectives of ordinary Nigerians.
What’s more? Burna Boy has been nominated for Best Global Music Performance for the Gold RIAA certified hit, “Last, Last” and “Best Global Music Album” for his album “Love, Damini” at the upcoming 65th Annual Grammy Awards. The show is live this Sunday (February 5) at 8pm ET/5pm PT on CBS & Paramount+ and will be held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA.
This year’s nominations mark the 3rd consecutive year that Burna has earned a nomination. He was previously awarded with Best Global Music Album for his fifth studio album “Twice As Tall” at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards and nominated for Best Global Music Performance at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards for his record with Angelique Kidjo entitled “Do Yourself.”
