28 years ago, on the night of September 7, 1996, Tupac Shakur was in the passenger seat of a black BMW driven by Death Row Records founder Suge Knight.
Suddently, a white Cadillac pulled up on their right side while waiting at a red light near the Las Vegas Strip and gunfire erupted.
2Pac was struck by four rounds fired from a .40-calibre Glock: two in the chest, one in the arm, and one in the thigh.
Knight was wounded but survived. Shakur died from his injuries on September 13, 1996, six days after he was shot.
Rest in peace Tupac Shakur!
