NLE Choppa, now crafting his persona as NLE the Great, delivered a hard-hitting diss track titled “KO” just in time for Halloween, seemingly taking lyrical shots at NBA YoungBoy.
The track, laced with fierce energy, channels the spirit of 2Pac’s legendary diss track “Hit Em Up,” adopting the same Dennis Edwards sample from “Don’t Look Any Further.”
The accompanying video blends 2Pac-inspired vibes with nods to Michael Jackson’s iconic dance moves, enhancing the track’s bold statement.
Kicking off his verses with intense imagery, Choppa appears to target YoungBoy directly.
“YoungBoy, what? This the big boy league/ I put one up in your gut under the Jesus piece/ Last thing that I heard was ‘Jesus, please’/ Had me looking at the devil like ‘This is your king,’” he raps.
The visual intensifies the message, featuring what many believe to be a YoungBoy lookalike and amplifying Choppa’s critique of his influence. He accuses YoungBoy of being a detrimental figure to the next generation, portraying him as a harmful role model.
“You poison the youth, nothin’ positive you do You the reason n—s beating bitches thinking that it’s cute/ You send n—s to do what you wouldn’t even do/ Role model, you will never fit the shoe,” he spews.
Following the commotion generated online, NLE Choppa stood firm, responding to the backlash through Instagram Stories.
“This ain’t a fire drill. I’m standing on everything I’m saying. I stamp it,”
Although the depth of their rivalry remains ambiguous, this isn’t Choppa’s first mention of YoungBoy. He previously showed support with tracks like “Free YoungBoy” and its sequel in 2019, though tensions have surfaced over time — including conflicts with YoungBoy’s affiliate Quando Rondo.
Whether this escalates further or remains a lyrical showdown is yet to be seen.
