The car in which Tupac Shakur was shot following a Mike Tyson fight nearly three decades ago is now being sold, carrying both its tragic history and a hefty price tag.
The legendary rapper succumbed to his injuries days later in the hospital, but the infamous event continues to echo in pop culture and history, especially with the trial of Duane “Keefe D” Davis recently encountering delays.
Celebrity Cars Las Vegas has now listed the iconic 1996 BMW 7 Series, the vehicle involved in that fateful night, for an asking price of $1.75 million.
The car has undergone extensive restoration to closely resemble its original pre-incident condition, complete with a fresh paint job and wheels replaced in line with their original design. The listing emphasizes that Tupac’s death occurred days later at the hospital, not within the vehicle.
This marks the first time the BMW has been made available for public purchase or display since the shooting. The current owner, following a series of previous possessors, commissioned the comprehensive restoration.
Verified documentation concerning the vehicle’s authenticity and history is included in the sale. Interested buyers can view this historical artifact at the Celebrity Cars Las Vegas showroom.
