50 Cent, alongside the Louisiana Economic Development team, unveiled plans for a significant investment in Shreveport’s entertainment landscape.
The initiative, valued at $124 million, aims to revitalize key venues in the city. The project includes transforming the former Stageworks facility into a cutting-edge space for live events and production, enhancing the Millennium Studios campus, which 50 Cent leased from the city in 2023, and constructing a dome-style immersive entertainment venue surrounded by a new green space park.
“This project is the realization of the long-term commitment I have made to the City of Shreveport and the State of Louisiana,” 50 says of the huge investment.
“By reinvesting in downtown Shreveport and upgrading existing assets to create state-of-the-art entertainment and production facilities, we are creating jobs, inspiring hope, attracting new productions, and giving the entire entertainment industry a reason to build their futures right here. My goal is to turn Northwest Louisiana into the premier destination for film, music, and live entertainment on a national scale. All Roads Lead to Shreveport.”
The state of Louisiana will also contribute up to $50 million in performance-based funding to support infrastructure upgrades and modernization efforts across the three targeted sites.
50 Cent took to Instagram to share the news with his followers, writing, “I told you all roads lead to Shreveport, now let’s work!” alongside a screenshot of an article detailing the ambitious venture.
In December 2023, 50 Cent solidified a 30-year lease for Millennium Studios, now rebranded as G-Unit Studios, which he envisions as a premier filming hub for his productions as well as projects from other creators.
Just months later, in the summer of 2024, he hosted the “Humor & Harmony Weekend” in Shreveport — a star-studded event series that further highlighted his dedication to the city’s entertainment industry.
