Renowned rappers like 50 Cent, Rick Ross, Finesse2tymes, and others have taken to social media to share their reactions to the recent allegations involving Pooh Shiesty and Gucci Mane.
On April 2, the U.S. Department of Justice announced federal charges against nine individuals, including Pooh Shiesty and Big30, for their alleged involvement in a kidnapping and armed robbery at a Dallas music studio.
Reports suggest that one of the victims in the incident may have been Gucci Mane himself. The news quickly circulated online, drawing attention from prominent figures in the hip-hop community.
50 Cent joined the conversation with a cryptic Instagram post that was swiftly deleted. Referencing Gucci Mane’s notorious 2005 shootout incident involving Young Jeezy’s associate Pookie Loc, where Gucci was cleared on self-defense grounds, 50 posted his reaction.
“Damn it man,” Fif wrote in the deleted post. “I thought you was smoking on Pookie Loc. Stay tuned for the next episode of only in Atlanta!”
The post also included a clip from the Department of Justice’s press conference on the case. In another post, 50 captioned: “Stay tuned to this weeks episode of, who told them that! LOL,” hinting at the possibility of someone cooperating with law enforcement.
Finesse2tymes also weighed in on the situation, speculating that a security guard for Gucci Mane — allegedly a former police officer — may have provided information that implicated Pooh Shiesty.
Rick Ross shared his thoughts in a video message, expressing his disappointment over such events unfolding between artists in the industry. He emphasized the importance of resolving disputes without resorting to crime.
“I don’t like it for either side…Guwop most definitely didn’t deserve that and I don’t want to see this for the lil’ homie Pooh Shiesty but this is where ni**as gotta be educated and understand in business you gotta negotiate,” said Rozay.
As more details about the case unfold, several other rappers are expected to publicly address what has quickly become one of hip-hop’s most buzzworthy legal stories of the moment.
