Despite reports of involvement in a prison altercation, the rap mogul Diddy‘s release from incarceration has been advanced once more.

According to records from New Jersey’s Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institute, Diddy’s release is now set for January 24, 2028. Initially slated for June 4, 2028, his sentence was first reduced by 40 days in March, bringing the date to April 25, 2028.

In June, the release was then adjusted to February 23, 2028, before being moved to the current January date.

This update follows an alleged prison fight that led to Diddy’s placement in solitary confinement. On July 24, TMZ reported that he was involved in an incident at Fort Dix FCI, where he is serving a 50-month sentence related to prostitution charges.

The founder of Bad Boy Entertainment reportedly clashed with another inmate after being insulted.

An insider shared with TMZ that Diddy “held his own” during the brief scuffle, which was interrupted by corrections officers. He was subsequently placed in a SHU (Special Housing Unit) designed for solitary confinement.

There is no confirmation on whether Diddy has returned to the general prison population. Additionally, it remains unclear how this incident might affect his current release date adjustment.
