It’s been six years since Beyonce blessed the world with “Lemonade” in 2016. The 40-year-old singer will release her anticipated new album “Renaissance” on July 29.
Tidal’s official Twitter account posted the name and release date for the singer’s next project on Thursday (June 16), while Beyonce’s social media bios were updated with the mysterious words “act i RENAISSANCE 7.29”. It is not clear whether the title “act i” means this will be the first of a multiple-album project, or whether the 16 tracks will be released in multiple parts.

Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar in August 2021, Beyonce said she’d been working on new music for the previous 18 months.
“With all the isolation and injustice over the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love, and laugh again,” she said. “I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible. I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half.”
