Bodycam footage from Playboi Carti‘s 2025 arrest for alleged assault has surfaced, providing insight into the incident involving him and his ex-girlfriend Gio.

The footage, obtained by the CufBoys YouTube channel, captures the moments when the Atlanta rapper faced questioning by police in Wasatch County, Utah, last October. This happened while he was heading to a performance, accused of assaulting Gio and their limo driver.

In the video, police are seen questioning Carti and Gio separately about the roadside incident. Carti insists that there was no physical altercation between them and claims his security was merely trying to separate them after the driver “tweaked out.”

Gio acknowledges that they were in a heated argument but denies that Carti struck her. However, she confesses to hitting a limo driver who intervened when they pulled over.

The footage also includes two 911 calls. In the first, the limo driver is heard speaking to police amid background yelling and a woman crying. He reports wanting to file charges after being hit by Carti, alleging Carti struck Gio during an argument in the backseat. Another call was made by a bystander reporting a street altercation between two men.

As a result of the incident, Playboi Carti was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault.
