D4vd has entered a plea of not guilty to charges related to the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas and additional accusations stemming from his recent arrest.
During a courtroom appearance on Monday (April 20), his legal team also formally requested a preliminary hearing to take place within the next 10 days, as reported by TMZ.
Authorities arrested D4vd last Thursday, over seven months after Celeste Rivas’ remains were discovered in the trunk of his Tesla.
Prosecutors have since formally charged him with first-degree murder, continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, and unlawful mutilation of human remains.
Prosecutors will determine at a later time if they will pursue the death penalty.
