The wait is almost over: Drake‘s highly anticipated “Iceman” album has an official release date.
On April 21, a creative reveal in Toronto delivered the big news. It all began when a streamer discovered a hidden folder atop the Iceman ice sculpture, which disclosed that Drake’s next project is slated to drop on May 15.
The streamer, determined and armed with a chisel, made quick work of the icy installation, uncovering what turned out to be the golden ticket for Drizzy’s fans.
Following instructions in the folder, the streamer headed directly to Drake’s Toronto mansion with a magazine containing the release date. For his efforts, he walked away with a bag of cash as a reward from Drake’s team.
Inside the magazine, the first page confirmed the “Iceman” release date. But that wasn’t all — another surprise came in the form of a t-shirt emblazoned with “2024 is my year,” humorously marked over with “2026.”
This playful gesture appears to reference the fallout from Drake’s legendary 2024 showdown with Kendrick Lamar, a clash that still echoes across hip-hop.
The upcoming “Iceman” marks Drake’s ninth solo studio album and his first release since 2023’s “For All The Dogs,” which dominated the Billboard 200 like all his previous albums. Fans are eager to see how this new chapter unfolds as Drizzy continues his streak of unshakable success.
The countdown begins: “Iceman” is poised to hit digital streaming platforms on May 15. Make sure you’re ready for what promises to be another chart-topping masterpiece.
