A couple of years ago, Khaled anticipated featuring Drake twice on his album. However, remarks during the feud led to tension between Khaled and the Canadian star.
Drake hinted that he wouldn’t join Khaled’s next album in a cryptic comment. Without an official response from Khaled, his silence spoke volumes as the anticipated album is still unreleased after two years. Khaled claims the delay is to ensure perfection, though Hip-Hop fans remain doubtful.
Unexpected Top Five From DJ Khaled
Recently, Khaled was approached by fans who caught him on camera asking about his top five rappers. Previously, Drake might have topped the list, but this time Khaled named Jay-Z, Biggie, Tupac, Nas, Kendrick Lamar, and Rick Ross. Notably, three of these rappers have had past conflicts with Drake.
Selecting these artists can be seen as a subtle jab at Drake without direct mention. There’s also a possibility Khaled was honestly sharing his current favorites. Social media users are skeptical of the latter interpretation.
Whether Khaled and Drake will reconcile is uncertain. Of the 2024 disputes, Future appears to be the only artist on good terms with Drake again. Drake’s lyrics in “ICEMAN” suggest he’s not looking to mend other broken ties soon.
As for Khaled’s album, only time will tell if it eventually surfaces.
