Over the weekend, speculation surfaced online suggesting that Quando Rondo had been taken back into custody.

However, the rapper quickly dispelled these rumors, stating there is no truth to them. In a brief message on his Instagram Story, Quando urged his followers, “Don’t listen to that fake news.”

There has been no credible evidence or official documentation indicating that Quando has been arrested again or returned to prison. The confusion may arise from the complexities of his current legal situation, which doesn’t boil down simply to him being “free.”

Known legally as Tyquian Bowman, Quando was moved from federal prison to community confinement earlier this year. This transition was noted by Complex in June, highlighting that he was then listed under RRM Atlanta following his departure from FCI Edgefield in South Carolina.

A Bureau of Prisons representative clarified that community confinement could involve either a residential reentry center or home confinement.

Quando Continues Serving Federal Sentence

This change occurred after Quando completed approximately 15 months in prison for a federal drug conviction. He had pleaded guilty in 2024 to conspiracy charges related to marijuana distribution and received a 33-month sentence.

His sentence was later reduced by five months, allowing for his transfer to community confinement. His projected full release date is November 11.

Thus, While Quando is still under the supervision of the Bureau of Prisons for the final phase of his sentence, there are no official records supporting the rumors that he has been sent back to jail.
