GloRilla embraces her gospel roots with the help of Kirk Franklin, Maverick City Music, and Kierra Sheard in her new track and music video for “Rain Down On Me.”

In the Benny Boom-directed visual, Glo swaps gritty verses for graceful praise, standing in the desert alongside Franklin, Sheard, and Maverick City Music.

Sampling Kirk Franklin’s “Melodies From Heaven,” the track was a surprise hit from Big Glo, landing at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs chart in October 2024. It also debuted at #2 on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart.

The music video comes after Glo won the Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award at the 2025 BET Awards for the song.

“It’s a blessing to get the Gospel award first because I owe it all to God,” the rapper proclaimed during her acceptance speech.

“Shout out to Kirk Franklin. I’m not gon’ lie, I was kind of scared to ask him for a feature on this song because ya’ll know how I be rapping. When he said ‘yes,’ I was so excited, I had this song in the vault for so long.”
