βI know I messed up really bad this time. I can act unbothered all I want, but itβs definitely taken a mental toll on me,β the Georgia artist said. βIβm not some evil demon guy trying to destroy everybodyβs values and stuff like that. Thatβs not me.β
Lil Nas X added, βWhen I did the artwork, I knew there would be some upset people simply because religion is a very sensitive topic for a lot of people. But I also didnβt mean to mock β this wasnβt a fβ you to the Christians. It was literally me saying Iβm back like Jesus.β
Nas found himself in a firestorm of negative comments after uploading a TikTok in which he eats communion bread and drinks wine from a chalice while dressed as Jesus.
βI did not mean it as a cannibalism thing or whatever the freak. But I do apologize for that. I will say Iβm sorry for that. That was overboard,β Nas continued.
βI didnβt mean to mock. This wasnβt a βFuck you to you people. Fuck you to the Christians.β It was not that. It was βIβm back like Jesus!β Iβm not the first person to dress up as Jesus. Iβm not the first rapper, Iβm not the first artist, and I wonβt be the last.β
Several celebrities were offended by the rapper who is known for trolling.
