Lil Wayne seeks forgiveness following his absence at the opening of his “20+ Years of Carter Classics” North American tour set for Tuesday (June 30).

“My Maine fans, I’m so sorry,” he shared on his Instagram Story on Wednesday after missing his headlining performance at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor.

“The show is being rescheduled to July 28,” he added, without offering any information on why he was unable to perform that night. “Please hold on to your tickets, they will be honored for the rescheduled date. More information will be emailed directly to ticket holders.”

While Weezy hasn’t provided an explanation for his absence, he did reassure his devoted fans that they hold a special place in his heart and promised to make it up to them. He expressed, “I ain’t s–t without you. I can’t wait to come back and give you the show you deserve.”

According to local station WABI, after the opening act by 2 Chainz concluded, concertgoers endured a long delay before being informed around 11 p.m. that Lil Wayne, 43, would not perform.

Fans who had traveled great distances for the concert expressed their disappointment to the outlet over their favorite rapper’s unexpected absence.
