Megan Thee Stallion has formed a new collaboration with Interscope Records, allowing her to retain authority over her music throughout the venture.
On August 14, the powerhouse artist revealed this exciting collaboration. Under the agreement, Interscope will manage global distribution and provide strategic support for her future projects.
Meanwhile, Megan will keep full ownership of her masters and publishing rights. She will continue to issue her music through her independent label, Hot Girl Productions, with Roc Nation also playing a role in this venture.
“I’ve always wanted to create music on my terms while building a legacy that extends beyond the industry,” Megan said in a statement. “This distribution partnership with Interscope allows me to stay true to my creative vision while also increasing my global reach.”
Steve Berman, Vice Chairman of Interscope Capitol, lauded Megan for carving out her career independently and described her as a “singular artist” who has consistently influenced culture.
Similarly, Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez emphasized Megan’s dedication to ownership and creative freedom, noting that the partnership will enable both teams to leverage Interscope’s global resources while preserving Megan’s independence.
“Act III” Release Scheduled For Later This Year
This announcement follows Megan’s recent interview with Michelle Obama, where she revealed plans for a new album set to revive her alter ego, Tina Snow.
Tentatively titled “Act III”, the album is anticipated to feature collaborations that will astound audiences and cater to the unique interests of her fanbase.
“I feel like Act III is going to be one of my favorite projects I ever put out because I definitely took my time with this one,” Meg added.
A release date has not yet been confirmed.
