Offset describes feeling unstoppable, comparing himself to the Energizer Bunny after recovering from a recent shooting incident.

The former Migos rapper, who was hospitalized on April 6 following a shooting outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, is determined not to let the ordeal slow him down.

During an appearance on the “Creators Inc.” podcast on April 23, Offset spoke about his resilience. The interview began with an incredulous question: “How the hell did you even get here?”

ā€œGotta keep pushin’, like the Energizer Bunny, man,ā€ Offset replied. Despite his injuries, which were non-life-threatening and occurred during an altercation in the hotel’s valet area, the rapper radiated unwavering determination.

Authorities later arrested Lil Tjay in connection with the incident on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge. He was released on a $500 bond the following day.

Offset, however, remained focused on moving forward. “Keep this s–t pushin’,” he said enthusiastically, mimicking a running motion. ā€œWe don’t got time to be slowing down.ā€

When asked how he managed to both perform at a show and fly to Los Angeles shortly after sustaining what the host described as an injury resembling “a second b–thole,” Offset shared his straightforward strategy: equip his G5 private jet with a bed. ā€œLay on that thing for six hours, go to sleep, you’re cool.ā€

Once in Los Angeles, Offset immediately got to work on his upcoming album. Though no official release date has been announced, he’s optimistic about delivering it within the next couple of months. His determination to keep the momentum going highlights his unwavering commitment to his craft, no matter the challenges thrown his way.

ā€œGetting creative … removing songs, making new songs, cuz all my s–t always be off life experiences. What happens in my real life I just put it in the music, because I’m not a social guy that just like to go live and do s–t like that,ā€ he said. ā€œI don’t do that that much, so I just put everything in my music. I’m just totally locked in through right now.ā€
