Post Malone is celebrating a significant moment in his career by re-releasing his acclaimed mixtape, “August 26th”, now accessible on streaming platforms for the first time.

This newly remastered work, the rapper’s major label debut and first full-length album, was initially released on May 12, 2016, via Republic Records. It featured collaborations with artists like 2 Chainz, Lil Yachty, Jaden Smith, Jeremih, and others.

The mixtape, which came after Post Malone’s breakthrough debut single from 2015, “White Iverson,” offered fans a glimpse of what they could expect from Austin over the following decade.

It includes tracks like the atmospheric opener “Never Understand,” the melodic “Money Made Me Do It,” the laid-back “Git Wit U,” and the bold anthem “F–k.” Prior to this, he had independently released his 2014 mixtape, Y.A.T.R.

The title of the collection originally referred to the anticipated release date for Post Malone’s debut solo album, “Stoney”. However, after several delays, it was postponed to December 2016.

The wait proved worthwhile, as the album boasted collaborations with heavyweights such as Justin Bieber (“Deja Vu”), Quavo (“Congratulations”), and Kehlani (“Feel”). It also featured production from noted names like Metro Boomin, Mustard, Pharrell, along with frequent collaborators Louis Bell and Frank Dukes.

Recently, 31-year-old Malone announced his engagement to long-time and intermittent partner Christy Lee. According to TMZ, he proposed to Lee in Utah on a Tuesday, with friends arriving to celebrate.

The rapper, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, was first seen with Lee in early 2025 during a dinner outing in Rome. The pair were later spotted together in Paris that same year but reportedly split in June 2025. They appeared together again in New York as of February this year.
