6 years ago today, the Hip-Hop community mourned over the passing of rapper Huey at age 32.
Originally signed to Jive Records, the St. Louis, Missouri rapper was best known for his 2006 single, “Pop, Lock & Drop It”. The song peaked at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent 23 weeks on the charts, inspiring a popular dance in the process.
On June 25, 2020, Huey was shot in front of his home in Kinloch, Missouri.
May he rest in peace and his legacy continue to be remembered.
