Rising drill rap star Chuckyy has landed in serious legal trouble. The OTF-affiliated artist was taken into custody in Chicago earlier this week.

According to records from the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, Chuckyy, whose real name is Charles Edward Davis, was arrested on June 23. The 20-year-old rapper is being held in a Cook County jail without bond as of now.

The specifics surrounding his arrest have not been made public, but his next court appearance is slated for June 29.

Chuckyy became associated with Lil Durk’s Only The Family label in 2024, shortly after Durk earned his first Grammy for Best Melodic Rap Performance with J. Cole on the chart-topping single “All My Life.”

He quickly gained prominence as one of Chicago’s emerging drill artists, making waves with tracks like “My World,” “Me vs. Me,” “Kobe,” and “Free Smurk OFNG.”

Despite turbulence within OTF, including Lil Durk’s October 2024 arrest on allegations of a murder-for-hire scheme, Chuckyy continued to push his career forward. He released “Bloodbathh Vol. 2: Violate We Demonstrate” last year and recently dropped a music video for his latest single, “Lamb Chop,” solidifying his position as one of the city’s standout acts.
