Kansas City rapper SleazyWorld Go, born Joseph Isaac, has been found guilty in federal court for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

On March 13, the jury delivered a split verdict in the case. While SleazyWorld Go was acquitted of possessing a machine gun, he was convicted of knowingly owning a Romarm/Cugir 7.62x39mm pistol.

The charges stem from an investigation launched after SleazyWorld Go, who was prohibited from owning firearms due to a 2016 robbery conviction in Michigan, appeared in several social media posts holding guns. Beginning in 2022, authorities identified over 30 such posts spanning two years.

In October 2022, law enforcement arrested the rapper after agents surveilled him via binoculars handling a black handgun outside a townhome in Kansas City, Kansas. Upon their arrival, police located four firearms near a vehicle parked where Sleazy was seen standing.

Following the judgment, Sleazy’s management released a statement to local news outlet KCTV5.

“Mr. Isaac respects the jury’s time and the court process. While he was found not guilty on several serious allegations, one count remains, and his legal team will be addressing it through post-trial motions. Outside of this matter, he remains focused on his family, his businesses, and continuing to give back to the community.”

SleazyWorld Go is set to be sentenced on June 30. The conviction carries a maximum penalty of up to 15 years in federal prison.
