Drake is gearing up to drop his highly anticipated ninth studio album, “Iceman”.

On April 21, fans received confirmation that the album is set to release on May 15. The announcement came in a creative fashion, as a streamer uncovered the date inside a mysterious blue bag hidden within a massive ice sculpture placed in Toronto — an intriguing teaser that has had followers buzzing.

The reveal of the release date isn’t the only thing stirring up conversations among fans. The Weeknd recently added fuel to the fire by posting a series of cryptic photos on Instagram, sparking rumors that he, too, might have new music in the works.

Naturally, this led to speculation about the potential timing of his post, with some wondering whether it was an intentional move to grab attention amid Drake’s album rollout.

The two Canadian superstars have a history of tension dating back years. Their rivalry reached a boiling point in 2024 when The Weeknd appeared to take a subtle jab at Drake in a collaboration with Future and Metro Boomin, further adding to their layered and complicated dynamic.
