DJ Khaled was one of the notable figures spotted on celebrity row during game three of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night (June 8).
Before the game kicked off, the We the Best mogul crossed paths with Timothée Chalamet in the exclusive lounge area. During their encounter, the actor showed his appreciation for Khaled, naming the 2007 hit “We Takin’ Over” as the greatest music video of all time.
“My brother here said, ‘We Takin’ Over’ his favorite video,” Khaled said in a clip posted to social media.
Chalamet, an avid rap fan, responded: “No. 1 video of all-time! I was watching … T.I. in the trap!”
The sound of laughter from Khaled, the We the Best mogul, made it clear he thoroughly enjoyed co-signing the actor’s perspective.
“That’s right,” he repeated.
Released in March 2007, “We Takin’ Over” marked the lead single from DJ Khaled’s *We the Best* album. This powerhouse anthem brings together a star-studded lineup, including Akon, T.I., Rick Ross, Birdman, Lil Wayne, and Fat Joe.
The music video, filmed in Miami, follows Khaled as he finds himself on the run and eventually captured by a mysterious antagonist. Packed with energy, the visual also features appearances by T-Pain, Bun B, Pitbull, Curren$y, and more.
Highlighted by an unforgettable verse from Lil Wayne, the track climbed to #28 on the Billboard Hot 100, solidifying its place as a major hit.
