Ye and YoungBoy Never Broke Again shocked fans by releasing their first-ever collaboration.
The artist formerly known as Kanye West linked up with NBA YoungBoy for their new single āAlive.ā
The Chicago rapper and the Baton Rouge native go back and forth over a bass-filled beat that samples Playboi Carti’s “Crank.”
The āAliveā sample is an interesting detail given Ye and Playboi Cartiās current relationship or lack thereof.
āThis that nāa been stealinā the swag, they know damn well they aināt invent/ This that nās aināt rich, they broke, want a blessing and they aināt even repent,ā Ye raps on the opening verse.
“Okay, these n***as in trouble, it’s f**k ’em, I’m finna expose ’em, they too undеrcover,” YB spits.
“How they go crazy just willin’ to say that they hear me? Now, b***h, now I’m feelin’ discovered,” Ye raps. “Hold on, I came from the dead now, n***a, I feel alive.”
NBA YoungBoy has long been a fan of West and shown his support to Ye over the years on tracks like 2022ās āThis Not A Song, This for My Supporters,ā which finds him telling Ye to stand his ground.
This is Ye’s first new song since his last unofficial album “Cuck” was leaked online.
Things got even deeper when he learned that Carti had been trying to work on a song with his daughter North and Kim Kardashian seemed willing to let it happen despite taking issue with Ye putting her on a song with Diddy.
Yeās āAliveā follows his controversial āHeil Hitler,ā which has been removed from X and Soundcloud due to its content.
