As an artist, Bullet Brak strives to inspire others and prove that the underdog can come out on top.

Yo Bullet Brak! Before we get into it, how are you feeling today? How is life treating you?

I’m alive, healthy, and grateful. I hope you and everyone that can see this are doing well also.

How did you get your rap name Bullet Brak?

My rap moniker “Bullet Brak” means “Boldness”+ “Utility” + “Live Energy” + “Lyrical Ability” + “Excellence”+ “Talent” + “Bury” + “Rappers” + “After”+ “Killing”.

How long have you been making music and who are some of the artists that inspired you to want to make music growing up?

I was inspired by Big Pun, N.O.R.E. and The LOX.

You are having a comeback now after you took a hiatus from the Rap game. Why did you step back and what changed your mind that you still want to be a part of the game?

I was working hard when I first started, honestly, I was doing what the “norm” is today. Not trying to say I was ahead of my time, but it just wasn’t my time. I also had multiple events in my personal life happen, from house raids to my parents’ health issues to focusing on other avenues of turning a profit, “you gotta make a living kid.” As for the return, my data analytics professor did our class project on how much has been left on the table by Bullet Brak, that was all I had to see. It wasn’t only monies, its sharing thoughts, networking and much more. Long story short though, I lined it up nicely.

What are you currently working on? Is there an album in the works that we can look forward to?

I started releasing music again on July 5th with a record I have with Chris Rivers titled “For Real.” Since then and up until September 27th, I’m releasing a new record every Tuesday. I’ll be releasing a 6 track EP titled “Brock Holliday” before the year ends and as for 2023 I am currently working with artists on records, videos, venture ideas and more.

How much of your real life comes out in your overall music? Where do you get your influences from when crafting music?

I usually pull from real life events in all my art. I believe that’s what makes you the most relatable.

You have worked with high profile artists such as The Beatnuts, Noreaga, Curren$y, The LOX, and Ty Dolla $ign. What could you learn from it? How was the experience like?

We all breathe the same air and we’re all human. When working and watching professionals execute their craft is always a learning experience. A lot of our favorite artist have mastered how to evolve and outlast.

What has been your biggest accomplishment so far in your career?

Speaking in front of all my alumni at the world famous Apollo Theatre (Harlem, NYC) as the 2013 distinguished alumni award from the institute of audio research.

What is your label situation looking like?

Currently, I’m out here just making moves. I have my brother Dylan, Jacob, Corey and Pete encouraging me to just worry about creating the best product possible. I appreciate all of them way more then they will ever know.

Let’s focus on your overall swagger. As far as style, delivery, and appearance, what do you bring to the table?

I take myself self with a side of humor, mostly I’m all business and even when I am joking, I am all business.

What is your opinion about the music industry? What would you chance if you could?

To be 100 percent honest, the fact the business model has opened full throttle to DtoC fan engagement is probably one of the best things to happen. Now, if properly planned plotted and correctly executed an independent artist with a small fan base (less than 5k) can do very well for him or herself.

Who are some of the artists you’re listening to right now?

Millyz, Benny From The North , O.T.I.S./Hevy Beats , Corey Black, Termanology , my brother Mr. Peter Parker is putting some great music together right now also. Trust me, there are so many talented artists right now, big S/O to all of them!
