Yo CruNk-N-buCk! Before we get into it, how are you feeling today? How is life treating you?
Blessed. No complaints. Business, business, and more business.
How long have you been making music and who are some of the artists that inspired you to want to make music growing up?
Music is my first love. I’ve been writing and creating music since I was 12 years old. I come up off all genres of music, but it was groups like OutKast, Eightball & MJG, UGK, and Three 6 Mafia that inspired me to create Rap music. I love the tag team/duo flavor.
How did you get your rap name CruNk-N-buCk?
Well, actually the streets gave me my name, dA buCk1. I think it was the era and time that we started creating music that it all came together as CruNk-N-BuCk. My first cousin, Rizzo, was known as CruNk and I was known as BuCk. I was wild and had no fear so I rolled with it.
What are you currently working on? Is there an album in the works we can look forward to?
CruNk-N-buCk’s album “Underground Kingz” is available on all streaming platforms right now! I’m having fun bringing songs to life with the visual side and I’m just using different avenues with promotions and putting on for Mississippi.
How much of your real life comes out in your overall music?
100%. No lies. No gimmicks. Real life issues.
For those who are not familiar with you yet, how would you describe your sound?
Country Rap tunes. Feel good music. Something that you can relate to.
Let’s now focus on your overall swagger. As far as style, delivery and appearance what do you bring to the table?
Southern flow. Mississippi Rap Blues. Nothing but the truth. Stand out in any room.
Musically, who do you look up to? Who’s that one recording artist and/or mogul you look up to and say, “I want a solo career similar to his?”
There’s a few! Right off the top I would name Master P, DJ Paul, Juicy J, Young Dolph, and Snoop Dogg.
What is your label situation looking like?
BoTToMsound is my brand, built with my own hands. We are independent and loving it.
What is your opinion about the music industry? What would you chance if you could?
Shoutout to all the female artists, because the women running this shit right now. With that being said I guess that’s why the music industry is so emotional now.
What are your personal and professional goals you have set for you and your music?
