Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign‘s anticipated second installment of “Vultures” finally has an official release date.
Ye himself revealed the news during his recent appearance on Justin LaBoy’s “The Download” podcast, confirming that Volume 2, which has already gone through numerous delays, will be dropping on May 3.
The follow-up to February’s “Vultures 1” was originally supposed to be released on March 8, with the third installment set to drop on April 5.
Volume 2 is expected to feature an album cover that sees Ty pay homage to his incarcerated brother Jabreal Muhammad, also known as Big TC. Muhammad is currently serving a life sentence for a murder both the brothers maintain he didn’t commit.
“Vultures 1” debuted at the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart. It amassed 75,000 album-equivalent units for its second week in the U.S., with 72,000 of those coming from streams. Guest appearances included North West, Freddie Gibbs, Playboi Carti, Lil Durk and YG, among others.
