Quavo is being sued by Louisiana rapper Lamount London, known as L.Mont
The yet unknown artist alleges that back in 2016, after opening for Migos and 2 Chainz at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans, he handed Quavo a CD containing his track “Bubble Gum”, hoping for potential collaboration opportunities. Unfortunately, he never heard from him again.
Fast forward, Quavo unleashed his debut studio album entitled “Quavo Huncho.” L.Mont quickly noticed that one track, “Bubble Gum,” sounded familiar.
L.Mont claims that the lyrics, arrangement and melody of Quavo’s “Bubble Gum” significantly resemble his own track and is seeking damages for the alleged infringement.
These aren’t the only legal issues plaguing Quavo these days.
Quavo provided his testimony regarding a 2018 altercation at the Encore Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The confrontation involved a valet named Antonio Henry, who later accused Quavo of causing physical and emotional harm. Henry is pursuing monetary compensation for the damages.
