50 Cent has announced on Tuesday (October 15) that he will headline his first-ever Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino beginning December 27.
The rapper and entrepreneur has announced six shows for his residency. Titled “50 Cent: In Da Club,” Fif is slated to perform from December 27 to December 31, with his two final shows on January 3 and January 4. The series includes a New Year’s Eve performance.
Reports are that the G-Unit head honcho is making $15 million for the set of shows.
“I always bring the energy, and Las Vegas is the perfect spot to create an unforgettable experience for my fans,” 50 said in a statement. “We’re talking big production, surprises and the ultimate New Year’s Eve party for my Vegas residency.”
He added on Instagram: “My first Vegas residency is going to be an experience, you don’t wanna miss this! I’ll be doing 6 Exclusive shows December 27 – January 4 at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Tickets on sale Saturday.”
50 Cent has already started teasing the setlist for the upcoming performances. “In Da Club,” “Candy Shop,” “P.I.M.P.,” and “21 Questions” have all made the cut.
Pre-sale tickets will be available for Citi cardmembers on October 16, with the general public getting their chance on October 19. Performances are set to take place at 9 p.m. PT with the exception of the New Year’s Eve show, which will start at 10 p.m. PT.
The mid-sized auditorium previously housed residencies for Shania Twain, Kelly Clarkson, Pitbull, Lionel Richie, Gwen Stefani, Pitbull, Lionel Richie, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Lopez, Backstreet Boys, and Christina Aguilera.
